Illustrator
Adobe Illustrator is a graphic design program that for the most part uses its software to create vector graphics. It can be used to create logos, graphics, cartoons and fonts with can also be used in Adobe Photoshop. We used an vector image in creating our key chains because it's made up of 2D points, which are connected by lines and curves so it isn't pixelated. The vector images we picked out were then put into Illustrator on the keychain, which finally was then laser engraved on a small piece of plastic.

The Second step in the process is to make sure you align your key chain where you want it placed and also check to see that the laser is on it as well.
Finally, put your real key chain on the laser and once you do that, make sure that the laser lines up with all of the corners on the key chain. By doing this process, this will make sure that the laser cuts out and engraves all of the parts on your key chain.

Step by step for creating Vinyl Decal
The first step of this process is to put your name on a blank Illustrator document
After putting your name on illustrator, make sure the paper on the vinyl cutter is aligned ahead of clicking send on the computer, always the your decal will print out lopsided.
Then once your decal is printed out, use a 'weeding' as shown on the left to take off the excess stuff so only the letters to your name show. At first, the strip will look like a scrap, but if shine right in the light, you'll be able to see your letter better.(Hint: It looks like a dental tool)
Once done with that, apply transfer tape to your decal and use a squeegee, so that the letters stick to tape and not the previous plastic that they were on.
Finally, apply the transfer tape and letters to the bottom front cover of your notebook. Smooth the tape on your notebook with some force, that way the letters stay on the notebook (You could use a squeegee as well). Slowly and at an angle, pull the tape back and your notebook should look something like this:
